OOTD: Overalls

OOTD: Casual Outing w/ friends Stumped on how to style overalls without looking frumpy? I paired my overalls with a pair of peep toe sling backs and a deep v onesie. I sealed the deal with a playful bag and kept my makeup and accessories simple. Overalls can easily be dressed up or down depending on the look your going for. I feel overalls are timeless and can be worn all year long.   You can pair with turtle necks, cute booties, scarves and jacket/coat in colder months to barely there tops and sandals in hotter months. Overalls also look dope with a pair of sneakers.  There is no limit to what you can do with overalls. I say do what works for you and your body type.  If you don’t like how you look in overalls with sneakers… Try heels! Fashion is fun and meant to express yourself and what you feel!     DENIM OVERALLS: H&M | HEELS: Bebe | Top: Fashion Nova | Bag: Team Wardrobe

NOVEX Product Review

Novex My Curls I was chosen to review Novex’s My Curls line and I’m so happy I was because the products are amazing! Don’t believe me? Release your Curls Curly hair needs a lot of moisture, so Novex mixed 7 nutri functional oils in one product, Olive, Argan, Ojon, Monoi, Coconut, Shea Butter and Moringa. This special mix of oils will bring the curls more hydration, nutrition, a powerful anti-frizz action and a spectacular shine. Cranberry, a small but powerful fruit, also helps shape the curls perfectly while maintaining shine. Check out my review!

DIY: Hot Oil Treatment

There are lots of pre-made hot oil treatments out there. However, I like to make my own because it’s cheaper in the long run. I can control what goes into it and pure/raw ingredients give better results. Hot oil treatments have several benefits to your hair. The most pressing is the restoration of moisture balance. Every day our hair is subjected to lots of external elements such as smog, the headrest in the car, random strangers’ hands…not to mention the styling, dying and other things we do that can dry it out or make it brittle. In addition to restoring moisture, hot oil treatments help with dry scalp and frizz while adding body and shine. (Note: If you have dye in your hair, do not use this treatment within three weeks of a fresh application as the oils will strip and remove a significant amount of your dye. It’s best to do a hot oil treatment the week prior to touching up your color.) You should consider doing a hot oil treatment at least once every 4-6 weeks, or more often, especially in the winter months, if you feel your hair is often dry to the touch. Why!?! I stress […]
